  • Traffic Rules: Bangalore follows the traffic rules set by the Motor Vehicles Act. These include driving on the left side of the road, obeying traffic signals, wearing seat belts, and not exceeding the prescribed speed limits. It is also mandatory to have a valid driver's license and vehicle registration.

  • Building Regulations: Construction and building regulations in Bangalore are governed by the Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) and the Bangalore Development Authority (BDA). These regulations cover aspects such as building permits, setbacks, floor area ratios, parking requirements, and adherence to approved building plans.

  • Waste Management: Bangalore has specific rules and regulations for waste management. The BBMP is responsible for waste collection, segregation, and disposal. It is mandatory for residents and establishments to segregate waste into different categories like wet, dry, and hazardous, and dispose of it accordingly.

  • Noise Pollution: The Karnataka State Pollution Control Board (KSPCB) sets regulations to control noise pollution in Bangalore. These regulations define permissible noise levels for different zones, such as residential, commercial, and industrial areas, and also specify time restrictions for certain activities that may generate noise.

  • Water and Electricity Regulations: The Bangalore Water Supply and Sewerage Board (BWSSB) governs water supply and sewage regulations, including billing and water connection procedures. The Bangalore Electricity Supply Company (BESCOM) oversees electricity distribution and regulations, including billing, connections, and safety measures.
